Welcome!
A life long horse enthusiast, I began to study the Principles of "Natural Horsemanship" in 1991. This was before this term became popular and it meant to me that I would find ways to teach horses in a safe and effective way. I learned that in order to teach horses effectively I had to:
-
only teach a horse when he is calm;
-
understand how horses learn from the perspective of a prey animal;
-
establish a trusting relationship in which I was dominate; and
-
watch the horse carefully and learn from his reactions.
While there are no quick fixes when dealing with problems that come up with horses, it is important to know how to approach the horse in a way that he will understand. You will see what appears to be fantastic results just by changing how you communicate with your horse. Your horse will be more relaxed and more willing to do what you ask when you ask. Please contact me with questions that you may have. Change your approach and have a better relationship with your horse now!
